Practice for Atlaslogy.jpg

Atlasology practice

In the first consultation, the case history is recorded (history, accidents, complaints, etc.) and information about the method is given.
In the follow-up consultations, the changes and progress as well as the current state of mind are recorded in writing.

Leg tests

Leg test 1.png

Leg test 1 shows a raised pelvis on the right.

Information on the atlas, pelvic obliquity and pelvic rotation is obtained through two specific leg tests.

Palpation and localization of the atlas

The transverse processes of the atlas are palpated (scanned) with the middle fingers and their position localized. The atlas can be moved left/right, front/back and up/down. This results in a total of 18 different subluxation possibilities - this is possible to feel with a finely developed and precisely trained instinct.

Adjustment of the atlas

Now the adjustment takes place, i.e. the centering of the atlas: by gently touching its transverse processes, the atlas is set in motion by energetic impulses, causing it to swing back into its original, centered position. This vibration is perceptible for me as a certified atlasologist and sometimes also for the client. It spreads over the entire spine down to the coccyx, whereby any existing pelvic tilt can be corrected - the legs are optically the same length again.

Leg test

The leg test now checks whether the pelvis is straight and therefore if the leg lengths are the same.

Additional techniques

Depending on the initial position, other additional techniques can be used: adjustment of individual vertebrae or the entire spine, adjustment of the jaw joint and the sphenoid, and energy balancing of the cerebral hemispheres.

Rest period

Rest phase.png

After centering the atlas, there is a rest phase of at least 20 minutes lying down. During this time other processes take place in the body which can have different effects depending on the initial position and nerve compression (tingling in the arms and legs, further alignment of the spine, knees and hips, relaxation in the jaw joint, feeling of heat/cold, etc.) .

Final check

After the rest period, the leg test ensures that the pelvis is straight.

After treatment

After the adjustment / centering of the atlas, the processes in the body can continue: Our body has the ability to align its vertebrae itself to a certain degree and to relieve nerve compression. Atlasology supports and strengthens this self-healing process. Because of this, different reactions can be observed in the following days - this is a positive sign of regeneration and should be supported by the following points:

  • Avoid extreme sports or heavy physical work for the first 24 hours after treatment

  • no more sleeping on your stomach

  • stretch after awakening (the spine benefits a lot)

  • drink approx. 300ml water/10kg body weight per day (enriching for the intervertebral discs)

  • move (in the fresh air), relax, switch off and enjoy.

Number of treatments

How many treatments are necessary depends on the initial situation: Which symptoms have existed and for how long? What is the condition of the spine? How much is the atlas shifted? How big is the pelvic tilt? As soon as the spine has reached optimal statics, the atlas is centered from one treatment to the next and the pelvis has remained straight, the treatment can be completed. Regular checks are then recommended as a preventive measure.
In the event of falls or accidents (especially whiplash), an atlasology treatment should be carried out as soon as possible so that the atlas is centered again - otherwise there is a risk that the muscles will adapt and the subluxated atlas will be held in this new, shifted position by the muscles and ligaments .
